Matt Elich, Director of CORE, Lead Skating Instructor
Matt Elich is a former NHL player for the Tampa Bay Lightening.  Matt began his hockey career at an early age and was selected to the 15, 16, 17 yr. old World Juniors teams.   He was a member of the National Championship 1995 Little Caesars “AAA” Hockey Team and was the 3rd round draft pick by the OHL Windsor Spitfires in 1996.  After being selected to the Top Prospects Team (Don Cherry versus Bobby Orr Tournament), Matt won 3 skating events:  fastest lap time, 60 foot race, and the 90 foot race.  In 1997, Matt was the 3rd round draft pick (61st overall) to the Tampa Bay Lighttning.  His first NHL goal was March 1, 2000 against the Washington Capitals against Goalie Olaf Kolzig and he holds the honor of the first recorded NHL point versus the Carolina Hurricane in 2000.  After a long and successful hockey career, Matt is excited to be a part of the CORE team as the Lead Skating Instructor and Sports Performance Coach helping other athletes achieve their dreams.
