Don't Forget The Importance of Stretching!
The importance of stretching is many times over looked by athletes.  Strecthing should not only take place before a workout, but also after the workout is completed.  It not only helps to increase an athlete's flexibillity, but also increases the range of motion.  Increasing flexibilty and range of motion not only leads to better performance, but may also help to prevent injuries.

Also, a good warm up is another vital key to a better balanced workout.  The warm up helps to prepare the body for a demanding workout.  Warm ups increase the heart and respiratory rates, and increase the body's ability to burn calories quicker and more efficiently.  A proper warm up can also allow an athlete to workout for extended periods of time!

Finally, don't forget to cool down!  Cool downs help the body to return the heart and repspiratory rates back to normal.  Cool downs also help an athlete to avoid stiffness and soreness of the muscles.

Don't forget the importance of a good BALANCED workout!!!  Make yourself the best athlete possible.
